IF there are such women ... I would guess it was because they were told as little girls that they were "princesses" who could expect a "knight in shining armor".

Which has a couple problems, as I see it.

One of which is it is telling little girls they have to be "rescued".

Another, is that "shining armor" means the person hasn't been in many battles ... if you want somebody in armor, it should be dinged and scratched.  Evidence that they have been through battles, and come through.  LOL

Interesting theory..  I voted for Trump and indeed I was a "Daddy's little girl" - to my father I could do no wrong and he would have spoiled me rotten had I stayed living at home instead of left when I was 17.  But however much he loved me (and he did) ha had no understanding at all of me and absolutely no idea of how to relate to me besides showing and buying me things.  And oh he was a sad alcoholic while my mother was dependent on mood-elevating drugs so I would not have wanted either to be president.

I do love my Daddy.  No apology there.
I also love my Mom. No apology there either.

    Daddy's Little Girl
    (noun)
    a.k.a. Daddy's Girl
Belittling and insulting term for a female.

I saw some evidence that the term "daddy's little girls" was being interpreted as a positive comment.

Rather than post it under the answer of the person who seemed to see it as a good thing, I chose to post it under the main question.

Since your question suggested an implied conclusion that I didn't agree with, I chose not to answer the question itself.
