It is simultaneously amusing and confusing when people read into questions things that are not there and ignore what is. Due to a blindspot?

Lack of comprehension? A desire to make a point regardless of the subject matter and they do not wait for a question that is appropriate to their desired discussion? So you get non-sequiturs. I dunno. It's not all that satisfying to the questioner but maybe the answerers get their kicks that way?
