When I was a kid, one of our family cats, during an angry ”talk” toward one of the other cats, appeared and sounded to meow the tune of “Sailing, sailing, over the bounding main”. I wonder if cats or even dogs for that matter, actually have the ability to memorize human tunes and imitate them in their own forms of vocal communication?
