No one was discussing DACA with the children.
President Trump was answering a question asked by CNNs Jim Acosta.  Which had he not answered would have had CNN screaming Trump afraid of DACA or Trump ignores DACA kids on Easter...etc.

But it is not an inappropriate topic to discuss in front of children.

It was not an appropriate question for Acosta to have asked, but Trump didn't have to ignore the question.  He could easily have responded by asking if that subject could have been discussed at a more appropriate time.

As I said in the other thread:

And then all we would hear is "Trump dodges DACA question" "Trump afraid to handle DACA" "Trump ignores DACA kids leaving them in fear this Easter..." Etc.

Trump was the one who ended the DACA program - who is he trying to kid?  the only reason he's not renewing it is because the Dems wouldn't give him all those billions to build his wall.

    Deflection...

    But it is simple,
DACA = Fund the Wall (all of it)
Citizenship (Not even offered by Obama) = End Chain Migration
DACA for all eligle (Not just those who signed up...Again more than Obama offered) = End Visa Lottery

Dems don't want it, they want it as a campaign issue.

    No deflection.  I'm not a Trumpette - I don't need to deflect.

I IS simple - No wall = no DACA.  Trump made this big deal about Obama increasing the debt and now he's gone and done the same thing.  Can you spell h-y-p-o-c-r-a-c-y?

Deflection....the topic is was the DACA answer appropriate at the Easter egg roll. You deflected to "Trump killed it" and now you are deflecting to the debt.

But as to the debt...the wall at $20 or even $50 B is a bargain. We spend over $100B on illegals every year. So just add up the savings.

I DID answer your question - I said it was not appropriate for Acosta to ask that question at the Easter Egg Roll.

We both know that wall is going to cost more than $50 billion before it's finished.  Where do you get your figures for hos much it costs us for illegals?  What do you think it's going to cost to keep the National Guard on the border until the Wall is finished?  Maybe Trump will stop visiting Mar-A-Lago every weekend and help save some money.  That costs millions every WEEKEND.  How about what it costs the taxpayers for Scott Pruitt and other cabinet members to re-do their offices or buy bulletproof desks of fly first-class everywhere they go or th4e millions it costs for them to use military transport domestically?  How about that?  That's OK with you.  How about the millions of dollars Trump spends flying to campaign everywhere?  Where do you think that money comes from?  Surely not paid for by him.  But that's OK with you because the money isn't being spent on some immigrant who's trying to have a better life.

I would say Trump pays whatever is legally required just as all the other Pres in the past have for their travel.

Debt goes up every year....I am not happy about it. But it does not seem to matter who is in office...debt goes up.
Many politians claim it does not matter. I think it does. I think is is how they will bring in the global government as a way of eliminating all country's debt.

Reading your link, I take issue with a couple of things.  For one, the numbers are based on 2013 information - that's four years old.  Second, according to your link, immigrants pay about $12 BILLION into Social Security.  Third, if you read the entire article, the bottom line is that Trump's estimate of $113 billion is false.  And that it based on YOUR "proof."

Yes, the debt goes up every year, but it was Trump who said he was the only one who could fix that and instead of  reducing it, he increased it significantly.

As for expenses for cabinet members, none of them are permitted to travel first class; there are caps on how much they can spend for office furniture - which Carson exceeded; and Pruitt's excessive costs for "security" have been spent in spite of there having been absolutely NO threats to his security.

Did I state $113B....no I said over $100B. If you wish to find more current data...feel free. But I don't believe the number has decreased.
I do not defend the excess spending..not for cabinet members or otherwise.
So far you are correct debt spending is not any better. Everyone seems to be a deficit hawk when the other party is in power.
We will see if new tax code helps revenues increase
....have to cut spending as well though.

My mistake - the article you chose said Trump gave the figure as $113 billion.

The reduction in taxes will not work at all without comparable cuts in spending.  You don't have to be a math major to get that.

Here is an actual answer to your question. They wouldn't sit still enough for me to talk to them about anything. They would rather just play.

Normal typical kids doing age-appropriate things. Go figger! Thank you for your reply Ele. A bagger asked "what is so inappropriate about talking about DACA in front of kids"? I didn't have the heart or the inclination to give her chapter and verse! SIGH. :(

It was about goofydoofylucy at the Easter Egg roll surrounded by children. I guess a reporter asked about DACA and rather than telling the reporter the day was for the kids and talking about DACA wasn't appropriate in that venue he talked about DACA. He was criticized for it by others not me. But then I thought he couldn't even shut up with the criticisms at a time when the kids should have been featured. He is unaware of what is appropriate and what is not. Anyway a goofydoofylucy adorer asked me what was so inappropriate about  goofydoofylucy talking about DACA on that occasion? I dunno. I guess any chance the goofydoofylucy gets to attack "enemies" he will take. Probably even at funerals. Wonder if he ever attends them? I'm gonna ask. Thank you for your question. The bagger in question defends goofydoofylucy 24/7 no matter what he says or does. It don't make no never mind. She will defend unto the end. :(
