What happens to the US economy if China dumps its $1 Trillion bucks worth of US treasury bonds? Anything good?

So whenever it needed buck the US went to China hat in hand for a handout then? Repeatedly over and over and over again? How can the US be so high and mighty when it OWES one country $1 TRILLION BUCKS? I don't know about you but i f were in debt bigly hugely I sure as he** would not be badmouthing or screwing the person/persons to whom I owed the money. That is crazy nuts isn't it?

It's a chicken and egg situation. The U.S. has no chance of paying off its debt to foreign interests without massive stimulus of its economy. (Which is never going to happen until the U.S. gets out from under countries like China, and people like you.)

How do you think the U.S. got into this position in the first place? Through your weak attitude, that's how. Your argument is essentially that the U.S. should meekly fall further under the dominion of foreign interests, because it is already under the dominion of foreign interests. Your attitude is pure cowardice. The U.S. needs to break free. It doesn't matter if it causes some short term problems.

The Chinese aren't going to dump treasuries. Parasites don't generally try to kill their host because then they die too.

I don't know what will happen if the U.S. chooses to fight, but I do know what will happen if it chooses to bleed out slowly. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at April 8, 2018 3:18 AM MDT
