Our perceptions of what constitutes EVIL I expect depends upon whatever gets in our way. Lincoln was devil/angel. Dingbat donjohn too?.

All I see is evil/devil. Nothing remotely angelic, kind, good, worthwhile, decent, acceptable. Others see the opposite. All good all bright all white all shiny all hero. Both views can't be true.  Which one is faux and which one is its opposite to you? WHY?

  • How can that be? In another question, you present the premise that what we feel and believe is programmed at conception. What part does "things getting in the way" play in a foregone conclusion? It seems mighty convenient for any of us to deny any external forces or factors in developing attitudes and ideas. Don't blame me, I'm not a free moral agent capable of making life changing decisions. Whether I'm a convict or a captain of industry was already determined in the genetic code and was a controlled enterprise from the beginning. Interesting, but somewhat detached from real world circumstances. Rather elitist too.
