That's old news. You can already find robots in the OR.

They're currently operated by surgeons but you can bet your sweet bippie that every move that every doctor makes is being recorded for "evaluation". In the not too distant future the surgeon will only "supervise" the machine, or a suite of multiple machines operating on different patients. Welcome to the 21 century meeting hospital corporation bean counters.

Imagine being deep in the Amazon on a research mission and coming down with a bad case of appendicitis. All you have with you is a medical robot with a satellite uplink and some anesthetic type drugs.  You're gonna die from sepsis/peritonitis long before help can get to you.

    What do you do?

Hell YES I'd let a robot operate on me! :-)

You'd think by now they'd do better than a blow up doll, lol.  A beautiful sex robot should be available to the populous.

I might let a robot cut my hair, none of the other stuff interests me. Only after careful observation.

I read a brief article that was headlined "Robots may be giving tattoos soon" or something like that.  That's the info behind the question. If you're completely out from an anesthetic FNR how would you  know who or what is cutting you open? Scary ain't it? Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday! :)

The entire idea of an inanimate electronic thingy doing ANYTHING to my body creeps me out! What if it short-circuited and electrocuted me? I dunno FNR. I hope if any of that happens down the road we have a choice. Thank you for your additional reply. :)

I seem to attract technical malfunctions, so that has definitely biased my opinion on this. lol But yeah, if death is the only other option then I'd have to take my chances. You too :)
