I rarely feed my 5 cats people food. They mostly free feed on dry food and as a treat every once in a while I'll give them some wet food.

How often is "every once in a while" PC and how much is "some"? Thank you for your reply. I have dry food out (we use  Beyond) all day and I also give him a small can of wet food.. It is the "Beyond" brand in a 3-oz can and I divide it in thirds and give each third to him a few hours apart . Jim is always wanting to give him treats. Tigger is an excellent beggar. He just stares at us when we're eating and wants to be offered some. He is a very large cat. 18 lbs the last time he was weighed. So how much is healthy?  Whenever I ask the vet she gives me imprecise feedback so I still don't know what brand she recommends (she says many of them are fine) or exactly how much to give. I know there are instructions on the bags/cans but still most cats weigh a lot less than ours. He was a very scrawny stray 10 years ago when he adopted us and he gets his yearly shots so he is healthy. Do all 5 of your cats get along well? Did they grow up together or are some add-ons? Thank you for reply PC! :)

  • We used a fixed schedule which is when the cat indicates, "Feed me!"

Whoa! That is a sadly cute graphic Stu!  Do you have a cat? Ours is a tabby  and is always ready to eat. Thank you for the graphic and Happy Wednesday. Was it Oscar the Grouch who lived in a trash can on Sesame Street? :)

    Hi Rosie:

No. Sadly, I'm allergic. I just like cool graphics.
