TRIPLE WHAMMY on the Big Island of Hawaii. Know anyone who lives there?

The eruption of Kilauea and the lava flow therefrom wasn't all that happened. Earthquakes thereafter, one measuring 6.9 on the Richter Scale, opened new vents/fissures/cracks from which more lava flows. It is feared that aftershocks may last for days or weeks.  California is a double-whammy state. Earthquakes/fires. How many and which whammys is your state known for?

I have a friend in the Army who's stationed in Honolulu.  I heard from him yesterday that he was not affected by the volcano, but I haven't emailed him since the earthquake.  My guess is that his posting photos of last night's sunset means he's OK.

It's just the Big Island of Hawaii that's affected. Kilahuea Volcano. There is even talk that it just might explode. It doesn't look good. My son lives in Honolulu and the Island of Oahu is fine as are the other ones. So far. Thank yoiu for your reply L and Happy Monday! :)
