Electric stove vs Gas. I prefer gas because there are so many levels of heat whereas with electric you are limited. What about measurements?

In Imperial you have pounds and ounces and quarts and gallons. Are there more measurements metrically? Is one method easier to use than the other?

Metric is MUCH easier, everything is in multiples of 10. 1000 metres to the kilometre, easier to remember than 1760 yards to the mile. 100 centimetres to the metre, rather than 36 inches to the yard. 1000 grams to the kilogram, rather than 14 ounces to the pound. 1000 millilitres to the litre, rather than 128 ounces to the gallon (or 160, depending on whether you're using US or Imperial measures). The math is simpler. Add a zero or two or shift a decimal point.

That is such a nifty explanation Sbf! Thank you for putting it in words I can easily understand. It is very helpful and I appreciate it! :) 5,260 feet in a mile. Sheesh! :)
