Instead of a wall why not use landmines and then employ chemical/germ warfare? The kind that gas masks won't protect folks from?

That way folks who liked that kind of entertainment could watch as people get blown up or drop dead on the spot. A present-day public entertainment like hangings used to be in the Town Square or feeding Christians to the lions in those arenas or watching slaves fight to the death. People get off on stuff like that. They always have and they always will. A bloodlust lives within them. SIGH. The more people die the exciteder they get!

    So, to this thinking, the creation of a zone of indiscriminate death for the sake of barbarism is preferable to building a simple barrier against illegal entry?
    Why not? Because innocents would die en masse.
