Durante degli Alighieri, aka Dante was born in 1265 and died in 1321. He wrote The Divine Comedy with which some of you are familiar. It speaks to the afterlife of Christians and consists of three parts. Purgatory, Heaven, Hell. Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso. There are 9 circles of hell with the 10th being where Lucifer himself lives. Each circle is reserved for those who committed a particular sin. Christians should be very familiar with it since it is all about them.
