I wonder why there are peole PAID to critiize the work of other people? They don't create/invent/imagine. They are talentless right?

It must be a pretty good gig. Review/evaluate/commiserate/eviscerate/berate or extol congratulate celebrate. I wonder who the first paid critic was? It is a job rife with the endless possibilities for bribery. Extortion. For a certain sum you get a great review. Crooks and thugs and mugs and bums extort. Bully. Intimidate. Yuck.
