There MUST BE a moral to this story. I can't figure out what it is. Can you?

The family of a Florida man killed by a sheriff's deputy was awarded  either $4 or 4 cents depending upon which version you read. The dead man is Gregory Vaughn Hill Jr. The location was Fort Pierce, Florida. An unloaded gun was found in his back pocket. Gregory was killed by Sheriff's Deputy Christopher Newman. Apparently Greg was playing music too loud. He was also apparently drunk. So that's what we know.

What was the jury saying to the family with that "award"? Anyone have a clue?  Ever hear of such a thing as that?

    Why award anything at all then? That is what I mean m2c. Why award anything at all if the jury believed it were justified? I do not get it. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday to thee!  :)
