You believe you comprehend/understand during and only after do you realize you missed the point completely? Is all of life like that?

How often do we get it completely wrong? To the extent that we are constrained by our limitations(intellect and prejudices being the main ones) it is to that same degree that we will get things wrong despite believing we are always right. Does that ever bother you?
