You don't HAVE TO LIE about ANYTHING if you did nothing wrong/criminal/ illegal. If don is innocent as he sez WHY doth he lie lie lie lie?
The lawyers, the press folks, the pawns, the KING of the realm. All lie. All the time. To lie or not to lie? That is the question. They do. Would you? Why?
