Pessimist. It's like society is drinking salt water that only makes us more thirsty and more desperate to drink more salt water. A self reinforcing spiral of decline. Anyone who tries to stop this decline is thought of as heartless and having no sympathy for the thirsty people.
Our civilisation is probably going to collapse and I'm left with a strange mixture of pity and contempt for those who have brought this down on us.
Don't know where you are but I will be right here making the most of what life is left to me. I don't have a crystal ball and can't predict the future. I can only try to do the best I can. Really both - I want to see everything nice and everyone loving each other but I have learned that many people just run their numbers whatever the consequences for others.
