When you see others throw away things that they no longer value but that you would CHERISH if only it were yours one wonders. About?

Why the very same thing/person can be so little valued that is it thrown away while someone who would be offered it would forever treasure it? What makes people tick? What makes them as they are? The great disparity in what we value is shocking to me. As if we are not the same species. As if some of us are alien beings and the spawn of alien beings. Go figger!  :(

    Yes people do value often wildly different things.  When I watch that TV show American Pickers I am amazed at the stuff that some  (most?) people are willing to pay money for.  Like old  car parts and kid's games that remind them of their childhood and ancient advertising.  Most of which I would not want anywhere near my house!  I think the trick is to keep tabs on the people who have what we want and to be their when they get rid of it or sell it so we can get it for ourselves.  Of course hard to do but so much is available now on the net.
