Kim is a NUCLEAR POWER. His only leverage. WHY would he give that up?

I think he realized that ONE of our missile submarines has four times the number of warheads that he does...and we have more than one sub. They are also basically invisible and do not have to surface to be launched. Quite daunting.
But if Kim launches multiple nuclear missiles at the US (it is said they can reach as far as Washington D.C.) wouldn't it be all over but the shouting? I dunno Ele. How lethal are submarines compared to airborne warheads? As you well know I know zip about any of this. I know. "We'll see what happens"! Thank you for your reply Ele! :)
Each Trident missile contains ten or more nuclear warheads at 750 thousand lbs TNT each. A Trident sub carries 16 missiles. Kim only has 30 warheads. He can do the math, I am sure.
