You seek asylum which is NOT illegal. Your child is taken away. How does that make sense?

You go to the store to buy groceries which is not illegal. Your child is taken away from you. How does that make sense?  The two scenarios are IDENTICAL. In each case nothing illegal occurred. Why are some people pretending it did?

    No, going to the grocery store is not identical to seeking assylum. 
    If in the process of seeking assylum, an adult illegally crossed our border then they did in fact commit a crime...breaking a law in which our new wonderful administration is now enforcing. If assylum is approved then the parents and their children will be allowed to stay and likely given assistance into the country with food and housing etc. If not approved then they and their children will be deported to their home country.

    But no, they are not the same thing at all.  Unless you want to say the parent at the grocery store is arrested for stealing.....then they are similar. And the parent and the children will be separated.

    There have been changes to the rules about  how you can enter the US to apply for asylum.  That issue has not been mentioned yet.

    Jeffrey Beauregard Sessions just tightened it. There are ports of entry where asylum seekers must enter from but even there families were separateted. Out of desperation some come across elsewhere and are of course taken into custory.  But Sessions has radically reduced what is asylum worthy. The bas**rd! I think borders should be closed to everyone! Period. SIGH. This country is an ugly 3rd world country! Thank you for your reply! :)
