It can be both. People (generally) tend to take the course of least resistance (the "easier" path). Not all the time, but more often than not. Going against the flow causes friction. Sometimes this may appear as being lazy. Rejection is something that all people fear. Scientific studies have shown that people will lie, steal - even defy their own conscience - all in order to avoid rejection. Rejection is friction.
Go with the flow. Thank you for your thoughtful reply Shuhak. Going against the grain takes courage and people these days pretty much lack it. :( Why I do not know.
