Some seem to think that cruel mean tough strong Dicatators makes them safer than kind compassionate caring leaders. WHY?.

Safe from what/whom?  Safe from being human and logical and fair and giving and caring? Safe from having to be kind and thoughtful? They can be any degree of SOB as long as they obey the cruel master and it's all okay. Is that what is going on? Because otherwise none of it makes sense.
