If I were a business owner and someone wearing a swastika came in I would not want to serve him. I'd like to kick his a** out. Would you?

So how would that make me any different from the baker who refused to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple or a doctor/pharmacist who refused to provide birth control pills? Where does the right of the owner end and the right of the public take over?

I'd let the nazi stay and would tell him/her I am Jewish to see how they react. If they get nasty, I kick them out. If they continue...911.

You are way tougher than I am Ele. Your intellect would be the driver here and mine would have gone out the window and disappeared! My emotions would be ruling me. I'd see flashes of the concentration camps and the emaciated bodies with respect to the Holocaust and a particularly devastating scene I shall always remember in the movie Schindler's List. A long table of belongings of those who were gassed to death. Mainly shoes I think and cups and bits of jewelry. I am sad right now for the mental images I will always remember. I could not possibly serve such a person. I believe there is a Holocaust Museum in New York that houses many such things. And even though Nazis had nothing to do with the Armenian genocide I would "see" the death marches The Turks imposed on the Armenians during the Armenian genocide. I would be a mess. Those "memories" are part of everyone who is Jewish or  Armenian even though they both happened many decades ago. Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday! :)

Hm tough one.. but I think it's a matter of magnitude of seriousness.. being gay doesn't harm anyone, being a murdering evil despot or condoning that, well that's a whole lot more serious.

Very true Addb. Being what you are or whom you are shouldn't really matter to a business owner but of course it does. What you represent or advertise yourself as matters . I think whom you love shouldn't matter to anyone but the two folks involved. But if you represent evil that's a different ballgame entirely. Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday! :)
