I thought that when my dad first told me it Rosie....if you and your family are starving you would work all day for a crust to feed them.....
The Black leaders of countries in Africa come up through the ranks from extreme poverty to become despots ...Mugabe and Idi Arin the canninbal that ate his prisoners.... Both lived in the lap of luxury while their the poor just starved to death... That still goes on and who knows when that will stop..
That is something I will never understand D. The people who were hated and abused for just being whom they are KNOW what that feels like. Why on earth would they do that to others? Do humans REQUIRE scapegoats to survive? I'm gonna ask. I remember when I was a kid and things were tough for us my dad had job delivering phone books. In those days buying bread was a luxury so mom made bread at home. These days homemade bread is the luxury! But you're right. You will work your arse off to feed your family and earn whatever you can doing whatever you can. Have people changed or were they always this awful? The governments are to blame as they are only interested in revenue from taxation....You cant go anywhere else to get fair treatment as government have the complete monopoly on everything....l They even want their cut on all illegal dealings no matter what they I tail... They government could do so much to stop polution almost instantly....but no one ever does.... I can't think of any country in the world that believes in fair trade.....Buy cheap sell dear seems to be the rule everywhere.....Buying big brand names doesn't mean you are buying the best product.....it just means more money has been spent on selling that products.....Governments do the same and worse just to stay in power and keep up their facade...... Cheating and deception has to always come before honesty....Rarely does being honest get you anywhere in politics.....it's actually a weakness your opponents prey on :(
There was a movie years ago about a totally honest guy running for political office. I think actor Warren Beatty played the honest guy. He was wildly successful and got elected. I know it was a fantasy movie. There was also another movie about an honest politician starring James Stewart. "Mr Smith Goes to Washington". I loved that movie. I think total honesty in the real world would preclude anyone from being a successful pol. BUT there are degrees of lies and the nature and purpose of them vary tremendously. Lies to protect the security of our country (really not just because gubment says so) are necessary. Lies to protect the lives of our intelligence community are essential. Lies to protect us from being destroyed by "the enemy" we welcome. But lies to aggrandize the liars, make them wealthy beyond belief at our expense? Not welcome. They should all be shot at sunrise by a firing squad made up of people they have harmed the most. Thank you for your reply D! :)
Ive seen that film with James Stewart.... Good film ,but pure fantasy...lol If as a President you knew a giant comet was heading towards earth at the speed of light and it would completly destroy earth....would you let the people know, knowing that every living thing is going to be enialated. .......No.....it's going to happen so way cause such un nessarry anguish ... Far better to lie in this case I think....
I would want to be with my loved ones. I would let the people know D. Would you rather they die alone and you too or would you rather all be together and face whatever comes? Thank you for your reply D! :)

Fed survey shows 40 percent of adults still can't cover a $400 emergency expense.
About 40 percent of adults said they would not be able to cover a $400 unexpected expense with cash. Among those with retirement savings, less than 40 percent think they are on track to have enough in their golden years, and 25 percent have nothing saved at all.
