A smart person who is also immature, unstable, and unreliable is actually an extremely dangerous person. Intelligence not only doesn't make up for the failings: it makes the consequences of the failings much more seriously damaging.

Smart doesn't translate into wisdom. I have a friend who is fascinating because of his genius IQ. Some of his decisions in the important areas of life, leave a lot to be desired. Sometimes an advanced brain knows a lot, but fails to think.
