No, "they" haven't officially solved the DB Cooper case. I've heard a number of theories as to the final outcome of the mystery man but I have my own "theory". I'll be sticking with it until official proof is offered that I'm wrong.
DB Cooper did not survive his jump from the plane. He was either killed in the jump or badly injured. He jumped into an area of wilderness, either died or was injured severely enough that he couldn't save himself. That wilderness area is quite vast. A chunk of the cash that he took with him was found buried in the mud along the Columbia River. His remains may be found in that wilderness one day.
Big Foot? The original video was a joke perpetrated by pranksters. Over the years, more jokesters have been adding to the "myth". Nothing more.
