How do Republicans redeem themselves? By being the ones to take Comrade Bonespur to task/do their job. By not waiting for Dems. Will they?

Wouldn't the better question be, How do the Dems redeem themselves? Just for the sake of argument, let's say that after the midterms, the president is impeached, convicted and removed from office by the new Congress. The "caretaker" president Pence is defeated in 2020 by Clinton who is crowned president for life.(She is getting old you know) Does the new administration keep us all in line with a subservient FBI and DOJ? Do they end the charade and pretense that Russia is an adversary that threatens national security and the electoral process and cuddle up with them again as history has shown? OR, if  Heaven forbid, Clinton loses, will she blame the Russians? the voters, women, minorities, Hispanics, the hackers, crackers, sackers the GOP, the deplorables and so on?
