It is normal and usual to list things in order of importance. The First Amendment speaks of freedom..of religion, speech, press. The 2nd is about guns. Why is that do you suppose?
At the time the 2nd amendment was put in place to ensure the 1st amendment. Also to keep the Gov. at bay and make sure they don't get to big for their britches and stop preserving the Constitution.
