Clever. You lie, get caught and there is no way out. Your pitch? "I had bad information". Which absolves you of lying right?

Before you open your mouth and make statements FIND OUT THE TRUTH FIRST. This way everyone has a get out of jail card or dozens or millions. Just say "I had bad information". Never tell the truth that you lied thinking you'd get away with it. That would be so shocking folks would drop dead on the spot for hearing such candor. Geez every time they get nailed they have an excuse.

  • I'm glad you've come to realize the truth in that. And yes, it does absolve one of lying. The proof lies in the fact that CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, MSNBC and a host of others continue without missing a beat. Government agencies and information venues are not paragons of virtue. Never have been, never will be.

A lie is a statement used intentionally for the purpose of deception.

So if you lie, bad information is no excuse.

What if you believe the lie and spread it around? You can't unknowingly lie can you? The clever lies that may not be caugt by all are one thing tom. It's the blatant baldfaced absurd riddikalus lies they believe I find very hard to believe anyone could possibly believe. That's wha'st so amazing about today. The baldfaced blatant OBVIOUS lies being told that the faithful base buys without question! Didja ever in a million years think there could be so many? When tapes are played side-by-side PROVING TGITWH says what we say he said his base still refuses to accept it or believe it. They call it "fake news" but actually it is that "alternative/alternate truth" about which that brilliant Republican dame Kellyann Conway shared with us that is in operation. It is true because TGIHWH says it is true...for the moment. What he brands as lies are also only momentary because he backtracks and flips and spins and collides with himself. Still they focus on him in the NOW and do not remember a moment ago nor care about what's to come. I guess. I dunno. SIGH. My 2 cents' worth. :(

Fortunately, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and MSNBC for example, always verify what they post.

I wish some of the people who post answers on Q & A websites would make at least a minimal effort to verify the misinformation they frequently post.

Me too tom. When I give them a specific thing to GOOGLE to back up what I wrote I don't hear from them again. I don't know if they are too afraid to do any digging/investigating/researching or they believe everything out there no matter the source is bullsh** whenever it disagrees with what TGITWH says. It does  get kinda exasperating when TGITWH IS ON TAPE AND RECORDED saying exactly what we say he said and his base refuses to believe he did. He told them not to believe what they hear with their own ears or see with their own eyes. Only believe what he tells them to believe because he is the only one they can always count on to tell him the truth. Remember in 1984 that was the pitch? Don't believe what you see and hear?. Way back then when the book came out it was a nightmare FANTASY world and no one took it seriously. Our today world under TGITWH has perfected it! His base embraces it. Don't believe your eyes and ears. Well that takes out 2 of our 5 senses. That cripples us. I'm gonna ask a question about it and "see what happens". Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday! :)
