Have you ever called the safety number om the back of a semi truck? What for?

I just did. We had a trucker just run us off the road and nearly into a wall. I got the trailer number and license plate. Called the 1800 number and left a voice mail. Stating the numbers and where we were located on the interstate at the time. Left my name and number as well. 
Do the call back? 

Thank God, my husband was alert and handled it safely.

    Oh yes.

    I always call.  While driving on the highway doing 65, I pull out the phone and call the number while trying to remember it as I am swerving in and out of traffic.

    Because?  The guy cut me off.  Oh yeah.  Real sane.

    There is no way to call.  That is so insane. 

    I am sure mostly the calls are from nuts who have no life and have nothing better to do than memorize some number to get someone in trouble for no reason.

    I just read what you wrote under the question.  I'm so glad there was a number.  For once, it came in handy. 

    Now, you need to call the police, which I am sure you are on top of.
