I once worked with a very liberal guy who told me about this old pedophile guy who lived in his neighborhood when he was a boy. The guy was sort of everybody's friend and enticed young boys to his home. He would get the boys to do sexual acts on each other. Creepy!
Oh my gosh bh! How awful for those boys. So your liberal guy never once reported this to anyone? That's even creepier I think. To know about and do nothing about such sick behavior is enabling/facilitating it in my opinion. Thank you for your reply! :)
I don't really understand why pedophiles are the way they are and I'm not sure whether there would be a pedophile priest problem if the Church didn't require them to be celibate. I do think that celibacy is unnatural and it may be that priests take advantage of their positions in diddling little boys. Considering how widespread this seems to be in the Catholic church, there may be a link between celibacy and pedophile priests. You don't seem to hear anything of this nature on such a grand scale in other religions that don't require celibacy of their clergy.
