Mother Nature is flexing her muscle. A CAT 5 hurricane is heading for Hawaii. Oregon just got hit with a 6.3 earthquake off its coast. AND?

In the last 7 days there have been been 11 quakes off the coast of California on the Juan de Fuca tectonic plate giving rise to fears that THE BIG ONE could hit California at any time. THE BIG ONE is a quake with a magnitude of 9.0 or more on the Richter Scale and when/if it hits it will cause a Tsunami.

I guess Mother Nature got sick and tired of being upstaged by crooked politicians so she thought she'd get our attention. Stay tuned.

    The warmer the atmosphere becomes the more hurricanes there will be (and stronger ones).  Hurricanes are nature’s way of dispersing oceanic heat (heat sinks).  Unfortunately, as the earth heats up so do the oceans.  Warmer oceans mean hurricanes will be able to travel further northward (they need very warm water to form and survive).  This means places like southern California who don’t normally see hurricanes (just weakening tropical storms), may start seeing full-blown hurricanes.

    I'm guessing Hemet is about 70-80 miles inland so I think we're safe from being affected by a tsunami  Shuhak. Although I'm not positive. How far inland can a tsunami travel? I know. Depends on its size right? I read that Hawaii will be ripe for a tsunami as that hurricane hits. It was 535 miles offshore from the Big Island and I guess it can veer in any direction but I think the entire chain of islands is under alert and getting prepared. It will leave lots of rain and flooding best case and I don't want to think about worst case. My son lives on Oahu but his home is on a hill and he is far enough inland I think so he won't be too badly affected. Thank you for your reply. :) How far inland are you where you live?

    Hurricanes don't generate tsunamis, they generate storm surge.  Earthquakes cause tsunamis.  It depends on the topography how far inland storm surge travels.  Usually it's not that far.   Hurricanes also generate destructive winds and torrential rains (which equals flooding).
    The now closed eye of hurricane Lane is passing to the west of the big isle.  Although the forecasted track is a few miles closer to the islands this morning, it appears that the eye will stay offshore.  However they all are going to get very heavy rains (as most now are).
    I know several people who live on Oahu and Maui (east side) and they said they were "getting prepared". 

    I'm over 200 miles inland - up in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains.

  • Although man has some accomplishments to point to, Nature is still the premier force to be reckoned with in our world. Nothing comes close to those awesome dynamics. I think that the increase in these events is only beginning. I see these things as ushering in the final phase of prophetic fulfillment for our world. It's what Jesus spoke of in scripture as a specific sign to watch for as we anticipate His return. So, while I'm respectful of these  natural cataclysms, I'm excited about what it all portends.

    The end of days? I can't say I'm excited  DA. Different strokes. There will be much tribulation. It won't be a smooth calm easy transition. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday.
