We KNOW a bad prez can be impeached and now we know that a bad  SCOTUS Justice can be impeached. For what? LYING UNDER OATH. Double the flavor. Two-in-one! Reduce costs. Who will argue with that?

  • The Senate is currently inhabited by two factions. The bombastic fire eaters and the comatose indifferent duds. However, if there's enough to block confirmation, you don't think about further action, you just reject it in the full Senate and move on. We all know if there was anything there to keep this from going to the floor for a full vote, the media would be screaming their lungs out from the roof tops. As regards the president, he may very well be impeached, but impeachment isn't necessarily conviction.(Does anybody recall Andrew Johnson and William J Clinton?) If these folks are serious about trying to REMOVE the president, they'll have to use something other than the Mueller thing. That two year boondoggle won't convict the president. I think we'll see them go reaching into the dirt pile of insinuation and inuendo in order to manufacture a case, but that too, may be on the  flimsy side. Impeachment is a criminal proceeding and not a remedy to overturn an election that happens gall one's sensibilities. If there were severe prison sentences for bringing charges and failing to convict, there'd be a lot less of this silliness to contend with.
