Some say winning is everything. Others say that winning is the only thing. What say you and why?

Winning and losing are illusions people create, just like the invisible lines on the world map. 

Having spent 25 odd years racing motorcycles, and having only won 1st place just a few times, I'd say there must be something fun about the challenge of competition. Of course, I was never seriously injured in any of the many crashes I endured.
