IF super don ever read a book on his own it was probably THE PRINCE by Machiavelli.Don'tcha think?

The principles of government outlined in that book are

Political expediency is placed above morality and the use of craft and deceit to maintain authority are outlined. It is rife with cunning, deception, dishonesty, manipulation. Sound familiar? I thought so. So as I said if he ever read any book at any time on his own it was this. Although he says he went to college so maybe it was assigned to him to read. Or maybe someone touted him on it. Or the title caught his eye. Who knows? But of course he thinks of himself as king not a lowly prince.  SIGH. What do you think of him as pray tell?

The only book Trump may have read was the Dick and Jane series of readers.

"See Spot run. See Dick run. See Jane run."  I think he could handle those images. His vocabulary is very grammar schoolish. He was described by someone on the "inside" as a being a  "5th or 6th grader". I think that is an insult to fifth and sixth graders I knew when I was in school.  He speaks in words of one syllable because he thinks so little of the intelligence of his base. He is afraid to use any "big" words assuming he ever knew any. If I were one of them I would be insulted but they never get insulted by anything he does or says and he gets insulted all the time by everyone for every thing. He's got the insult base covered coming and going so he doesn't need them for that. He just needs their constant love adoration support and belief in him. He craves it. He demands it.  He can't do without it. And so go the days of our lives!  :( Thank you for your reply L! :)

Can you imagine what a barren childhood he must have had to have become this kind of person?

I think being shipped off to military school at the age of 13 was a massivie rejection from his parents that has shaped his entire life. I have no proof of that but he seeks love and admiration and acceptance 24/7 from everyone, strangers included.  That is not normal. Whom would he have become had he been allowed to live at home we will never know. I would not have done well at all being sent off to school. I was painfully shy and I cannot imagine how I would have survived. Thank you for your reply L! :)

I didn't get the impression that he came from an emotionally demonstrative home.  I read that his brother became an alcoholic (which is why he doesn't drink).  I got the feeling that his father was a bit tyrannical and perhaps nothing Donald did ever met with his father's approval.

Typical unloved child but in this case it created a monstrous thing. Too bad they didn't get a do-over. Think how different today's world would be if they had. Thank you for your thoughtful reply L and Happy Monday! :)

I'm thinking his favorite book was the one about a child in Africa that was being threatened to be eating up by a tiger. But Trump didn't read the last part of the book because it didn't turn out well for the tiger.  Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at September 24, 2018 12:33 PM MDT
