When you exalt others you put your faith and trust in them which they often use against you to harm you. Isn't that what EVIL does?

In the absence of more substantial beliefs we may exalt others but it is often more like we think we can get something for ourselves from them or through them.  So we are just looking out for "#1" and we think they can help.  Of course we should realize that they have their own agendas just as we do and they are appealing to us to realize their own.  Sorry but can't help thinking of "Trump University" where people paid all kinds of money hoping to learn his business "secrets".  They exalted him because they thought he had something to teach them which they could use for themselves.  And some clients were dissatisfied and sued and got big settlements.  Is it "evil" or simply that "there is a sucker born every minute"? Commerce, buy and sell.  If people are willing to pay us for what they think we know then shouldn't we try to accommodate them?  What is "higher education"?
