Another plainly silly premise that ignores both history and common sense. Didn't the libs' and the Dems' demigod/hero William Jefferson Clinton get caught lying under oath?  It seems the "precedent" to which you refer was preceded by that.

  • The precedent has already been set by members of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Those folks should have been wearing black hoods. They would have identified more closely with the Spanish Inquisition that way. They were ready to accept anybody's half truth, lies or unsubstantiated story to block the nomination. That's why it was so beautiful when these people in their feigned self righteousness, had their seventh FBI inquiry(that they demanded) blow up in their faces. If there are any perjury charges to be made, they can begin with Diane Feinstein and work their way around the room. As I recall, US Senators also take an oath of office. They of course, never remember that in their desperation to obstruct by every means possible, the nomination they were publicly against BEFORE any hearings.

He will be confirmed because he deserves to be confirmed.
