I think it takes tremendous amounts of courage on anyone's part to enter the sorry state of Louisiana. While we're at it, since when does the governor have the power to keep people out? This guy needs to curb his audacity and try to remember a few years ago when other states took in those persons fleeing Katrina and all that went with it. The ones we took into our community were some of the worst trouble makers imaginable. Why Trump would bring them anything is beyond understanding. The president was right to stay on the golf course.

He doesn't have the power to keep people out. He REQUESTED that the president not come down there immediately. Why? Because he wanted all the local resources to focus on getting through the crisis. Do you realize what the local police have to do when a President or any notable person visits? Roads are closed, streets are blocked off and local authorities divert much of the security folks to protect the president. Why on earth would you want to be taken care of when people are flooded out, starving and need attention? That is a no-brainer but Trump flew down for his photo op anyway. The Governor was not being audacious Polk. He was being practical. He was putting the sorry state of his state and its people FIRST. How or why
