I agree. While I have always been a bit of a rebel in that sense, an independent-minded one and not a 'follower' as my dad used to call them, the older I have gotten, the more so I have become.
I was a painfully shy child and loner! Not any more now that I'm very much older. I used to worry about what others thought of me. Not any more. It's liberating! Thank you for your reply lavender and Happy Tuesday! :)
Thank you lavender. I'm fixing tacos and refried beans and rice with edamame and steamed broccoli/cauliflower for dinner today! I love to cook. Jim is off playing tennis. He plays Tuesdays and Thursdays and also golf on Saturdays! He's in heaven out there with those sports he so enjoys and I'm in heaven at home cooking! Do you like to cook?
That sounds delicious, Rosie. I do like to cook, and now that I am retired, I enjoy it even more. My problem is I still haven't mastered the art of cooking only for two. When our daughter was a little, we lived in an apartment complex, so it was easier to share all of my leftovers with my friends/neighbors. Now though, if it doesn't fit in the freezer, we have to try to hurry up and eat it until I learn to make half of what we actually need. lol
I have the same problem lavender. I have THREE refrigerators. One in the garage belonging to the landlord. We rent a house. He asked that we use it and not unplug so we do. Then when our friend (who now lives in Arizona) moved from California to Hawaii we bought his fridge. And of course we have one in the kitchen. It comes in handy during the summer when we have watermelons and more drinks. So I have plenty of room to freeze things. I do share with our across-the-street dear neighbor friend. We have the best neighbors in our little community. I hope I never lose the joy I get from cooking! Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday! :)
Wow, that's great that they all come in handy for you. I would like to get a second fridge for our garage or at least a deep freezer. I could always use the extra room. You are lucky to have great neighbors. We have a mix of great and "shady", but fortunately the worst of the shady is currently incarcerated and will be for a long time. Great news. I'm very sorry to learn of that Cinders. Condolences on your loss. My parents had friends who owned a liquor store. The husband was shot dead one night and my mom learned about it on the news that night! The newscaster said his name and what had happened. I just remember her crying. I had a best friend who took her own life a few decades ago and it haunts me still. She murdered herself I suppose. SIGH. Thank you for your reply Cinders and Happy Tuesday! :)
