It matters not to what the "That" implies. If they were better they would do better. As it is what we got is what we musta sought. Depressing ain't it?

Precisely! I yam what I yam and that's all that I yam! That's me without the bulging muscles in a different gender! Thank you for your reply Ele and the really nifty graphic.  By the way we eat a  lot of spinach! Raw in salads and sandwiches and I always add some to my homemade soups! Does it make me stronger? I dunno ya know? I eat it because it tastes so good and is also very versatile and Jim likes it at least as much as I do if not more. I buy a couple bags a week every week and we eat it all up! !:) This post was edited by RosieG at November 2, 2018 7:27 AM MDT

That's good Ele but you do know that some veggies release more of their nutritional benefits when cooked. Tomatoes are a prime example of that. They're healthy raw but when cooked the lycopene is released full strength. Some veggies are better eaten raw and some are equally healthy cooked or raw but each method has different benefits. I know. You either already know all this in which case it is TMI or I lost you after the first sentence cuz you lost interest! Thank you for your reply!

I read it all. Lycopene research is inconclusive on its health benefits.

Really? How interesting that is to me since  for decades I have been lied to about the efficacy of cooked tomatoes versus the lackluster nutrition of raw. Go figger! Another idol crashed and dashed and smashed. Thanks for setting me straight. It's raw tomatoes forever. No sauce. No soup. RAW!  AW!

I don't know - I think most American people are pretty good. Perhaps not all the time but in general.  Whether they agree with me or not. I take exception however to way some people go about doing "good" because I think, though it may help some people, it hurts others.
