Any of you ever had PTSD or have it now? If so what is it like?Does it flare up and go away or is it a 24/7 phenomenon ?

    It is triggered.  It is different for each person, but it is trauma that controls your every thought.

    You have to prepare to not be scared like that ever again.  So you stay in the house, etc.

    I had a few friends who suffered from that.  I never did.  

    My girlfriend had some robber put a gun in her mouth when she was at work at a Bagel Shop.

    It was horrible.  She could not walk alone down the street at night.

    She is over it now it was years ago.  I think she got professional help.  It doesn't go away on its own very easily.
