What was the longest time you had to wait to get a room in the hospital after being admitted in the emergency room? Me? 15 hours.

    About two hours...we had a flood in 2000. and i got in a bad car wreck. Two hours in the er. Many  others were in worse shape.

    15 hours.  You cannot believe how irritating that is.  I didn't even have a room.  I was in a bed with a curtain around me waiting in pain.  They did come in and help me, but they would not release me and I had to lay there for that long with zero to do.  It was really special.

    It was like being in jail.  No food.  NOTHING.  I had no room. But, I couldn't eat anyway.  

    I did bring a book and my phone.  The phone died after a few hours and the book got read and I still had hours left.  (it was a small book)

    No.  No you wouldn't.  Not if you were in agony.  That made it even LONGER because every minute felt like a day.  ( I DO exaggerate, but you get it)

    Otherwise, I would have just crashed too.  A hospital is probably worse than jail if you want to rest.  You get an hour at a time if you are lucky with all the activity and noise.
