Depends on how good the deal is.

I despise crowds. Can't stand it. I hyperventilate and have to get out of anyplace where people swarm in droves. So anyplace at anytime swarming with people I avoid. I don't care how good a deal is. Thank you for your reply m2c and Happy Friday to thee! :) This post was edited by RosieG at November 24, 2018 11:08 AM MST

I'm not surprised. Years ago Jim and I went on a tour of Riverside CRAFTSMAN homes. All of sudden I was penned in by people who materialized from nowhere. I got out ASAP and I waited for Jim on the lawn. When Rich was living and teaching in Denver we visited him. We were in a superduper CANDY STORE with rooms galore! I was having a really fun time UNTIL once again the swarm showed up in the room I was in so I told Jim I had to leave and got out and just sat quietly on bench in the front waiting for the "normal" folks I was with to come out. I can't breathe when there are too many people. Not breathing is no fun. Thank you for your reply Sharon.  :)

Old School told me about you and your shopping habits.  They are extraordinary.  You are neat, clean, organized and have everything at the ready, many times in bulk.

    The best shopper ever.

That's very sweet of him to say and for you to repeat. Back in the day long ago when you could double coupons and have an unlimited amount of them I made out like a bandit.  My best deal was getting $200 worth of stuff at Ralph's and having the store owe me a nickel! Not kidding. This was  probably nearly 20 years ago or so. The store would have a Buy 1 Get 1 Free deal. Say it cost $2 each so I'd pay nothing if I had a $1 coupon which they doubled. That happened REGULARLY back in the day. At one time even longer ago you might get a coupon they would triple if it were triple coupon day. I had so much fun. Jim had me save some cash register tapes for a few weeks before we were going up to visit David & Yolanda who lived in Oregon at that time but live in Buckeye, Arizona now.  When Yolanda looked at the tapes she shrieked. Then David looked and shook his head s if to say he couldn't believe it.  I AVERAGED savings of 75%! The cash register tapes show the value of what a thing costs. The coupon(s) applied to it and what's left . Of course some things were taxed but sometimes doubling the coupon gave you the thing for free with left over change! If it cost $1.50 and I had a $1 coupon they doubled it so I was 50 cents ahead which then was applied to the tax. Those were the days. I still use coupons but they are nothing like they used to be. But then what is ? Thank you for your reply Sharon! :)

I am glad that tickled you, because it is a great story to know about you.  Of course, he has always spoken of both you and Jim in very high regard.  Always.

Thank you for the nice reply.

OMskinnyJesus!  When did you come in and take a picture of our refrigerator???  I would have loved to have had you for Turkey Dinner had I known you were here.
I swear, if you just remove the diet coke and add beer, my refrigerator looks exactly like this all the way down the Italian dressing in the bottom left compartment. We have a little left over apple pie, too, balanced on the turkey Tupperware holder and the beer, diet coke.  It is level in our fridge.  The beer quantity goes up and down and we can manage the height.
    Too funny!!!
Next time, please let me know you are here and sit down with us!  It would be a kick-in-the-pants and a good time for all!! This post was edited by Merlin at November 23, 2018 4:45 PM MST

More than once, while standing in line, I have wondered.
I wonder how much of my life I waste by standing in lines.
For that reason and parking, I do not go out on days like this.
I make a lot of our gifts too so unless I'm going to Michaels, Home Depot, Lowes, or any other craft store, there is no reason to go and fight the crowd.  I can go to those stores anytime and they aren't nearly as crowded as the others.
Still, no lines today for this wizardress!
