You have to keep being born again and learn the lessons of your prior lives until you become perfect which means you reach a state of grace where you no longer have to come back to earth to learn any lessons. You dish out crap in this life you get crap in your next life and so it goes endlessly until and unless you smarten up shape up and change. I wonder how many lives the john will have to live to smarten up? I don't think there is a cap on that but I am not sure. He is a very slow learner and in fact rejects learning anything so he may never achieve Karma and have to keep coming back and coming back and coming back.
