    I mean ... somebody has to win, unless both sides are completely destroyed like that StarTrek episode.

    Though going to war in the first place usually means you "lost", as you failed to reach a solution that doesn't require the deaths of innocent people.
    There has never been a war where non-combatants didn't suffer.

    SIGH. There are certain rare isolated situations where BOTH SIDES WIN! Those are my favoritest things ever. No one loses. I know it's possible and exists because I have participated in and/or witnessed it.  VERY MANY if not MOSt folks don't seem to give a sh** because they hate cooperation and compromise and insist that they win and you lose and that just rocks their world!
