If you were related to a celebrity/someone famous would you tell folks or keep it secret?
D'y lose either way? If you say are you bragging and if you don't say are you hiding something which is kinda like lying? Whatcha think and what wouldja do if it were you?
I am related to a family which was once very prominent in industry. Chemicals. As well my father was one of the founders of a very successful tool company which still exists though under another name. But I never thought those would get me any free meals or any special considerations so though they were nothing I hid I just never mentioned them unless it was relevant. Interestingly one of my friends on here from a different part of the country eventually guessed my relationship and eventually came right out and asked me if I was related. He thought of course it was none of his business so he had not said anything about it but at long last his curiosity got the better of him.
