    Both require a modicum of intelligence. What chess requires is patience.

    Not only that R. It requires the ability to see moves ahead and play accordingly. Old School's dad was a CHESS MASTER I think. He once played Bobby Fischer. He lost to Bobby but still can you imagine that? My son told me that he would be playing five games at one time..a board set up for each of Old School's friends. He was an amazing chess player. So it requires something greater than intelligence to be very good at it. Thank you for your reply! :)
