Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
What does this mean for:
- free exercise of religion
- freedom of speech
- freedom of the press
- right to peaceable assemble
- right to petition government for redress of grievances
Hmm. Is the amendment even still that important to make America great again? Seems not being the case for some people within the political spectrum, no?
As I understand it Fred Phelps preached and excesized his religion quite freely, even though many on answerBag (and elsewhere) though he should be stopped.
I am not sure which in your list of freedoms and rights you think are being denied. Mostly my impression is that US courts take great care to respect those things.
Oh really? And what Odummy has been doing hasn't brought you reason for concern, or are you aware of his illegal activities?
