.I think it was in excess of $175,000 worth of gifts . Boy that must be really good news for the pols who are on the take, on the make and in politics for what they can get. Good job SCOTUS. You make us so proud! And the vote, believe it or not, was 8 -0! So it t'warn't the Conservatives what done this. T'wer the Liberals too. A pox on all their houses!  :(

That explains Hilary's $46 million she acquired while a Senator and Sec of State on only $169k salary.

    Hello Rosie:

Even though it LOOKS like a duck, and QUACKS like a duck, at the Supreme Court, you have to PROVE it's a duck...  And, they couldn't.  Apparently, there was NO direct quo for the quid.  Look.  If Notorious RBG, and Clarence Thomas agree, it MUST be good law.

I think there's been a loop hole for that since the beginning of politics. Sneaky bastards can find all sorts of ways of getting around it, e.g. Maybe a constituent gave a politician some inside trading info.

1708, exactly! Every politician on Capital Hill has giant nest eggs way over the means of their salary, everyone wants to see their doctored up tax returns but no one realizes they'll never get the true disclosure, keep in mind that these are the people that are going to vote in one of the biggest crooks in the world in the most powerful office in the world, lol. Oh ya! I'm talk'en HRC.

It surprised me that the vote was 8-zip excon. So there are no rules or limits then?  The gravy train rolls on and on and on and on. Being a pol is a nifty. You sit on your a** doing nothing getting paid for it and also getting bennies at taxpayer expenses AND ALSO get to rake in "gifts" from admirers who just love the he** outta ya! Whatta life! Thank you for your reply excon!  :)
