Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Something goes wrong. Finger pointing begins. How much at fault are the users and how much at fault are the manufacturers/producers/makers?
If a manufacturer produces defective products but the consumer uses them in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and suffers from it's use, the manufacturer is at fault. If the product is properly made but the user doesn't follow instructions and gets hurt, it's the user's fault. Of course, a certain amount of common sense should also be used. If the manufacturer of a hair blower doesn't specifically tell you not to use it in the shower, and you do that and get electrocuted, the onus is on you. Everyone should know that electricity and water don't mix!
Putting it in a political context. Is the puny pathetic petulant Putin puppet to blame for all he has destroyed or are those who elected him and support/defend/adore him to blame? He is the product. They are the users. In effect they also are the manufacturers aren't they? By electing him they caused him to be put on the market. SIGH. Oh if we only could have had a REAL election and not one that was bogus. Thank you for your reply L.
There is no way to know just how many people voted for Trump because they liked him or because they didn't like Clinton or because they thought he could magically fix what is wrong with our political system. His promise to drain the swamp is a great sound bite, but all he's done is re-stock the swamp with inexperienced actors mostly unqualified for the positions to which they were appointed. Hopefully, saner heads will prevail for the next election and he will be off the world stage. Happy Saturday. :)
